Humm. What comments do I want to make? I was sad to learn how many of us have gone on to the next part of the journey. Our lives are so brief. The early years of searching out who we are and who we want to be and trying to figure out if we, any of us, really matter. Those adventurous years of roaming around, exploring and living dangerously but loving it. I wouldn't take anything for any of those years, even the ones spent married to men I chose unwisely. If I regret anything at all about my life, it is that I wasn't even braver. I wish I had lived even closer to the cliffs. But then again, there is still time for more adventures. Until the next one, I reside in San Antonio, enjoying the fruits of my labors and spending time with the people I love most.

My favorite teacher was Mr. Hammett, the band director. I liked Ms. Barnett in the 7th grade and if I had to, I could still diagram a compound complex sentence. I couldn't have cared less who the principal was. In those days I wasn't "bad" enough to go to the principal, so I guess it just didn't matter much to me who held that position.

There was a school story? I was too busy doing homework to hear it. Darn. I missed out on all the fun! And why didn't one of you teach me how to do my hair or put on makeup??? I didn't learn any of that until I was in my 60's. Now my daughters laugh and tell me I'm 13. They say capricorns start out old and grow young. Except for the sags and wrinkles, I have found that to be true. I'm still trying to make up for the missed adolescence!

Twenty four years as a social worker/manager for the state of Texas, 17 in Lufkin/Nacogdoches/Beaumont area) and 7 in San Antonio. Five years teaching for Alamo Colleges (government and English). A few years teaching GED.
Two marriages that were not my best decisions. One that was a good decision, but that ended with my husband's death. Not my fault, honest!
These days I am enjoying my home, family, a little travel, and seeing a few friends, old and new. Watching the wildlife in my backyard. Running around the Hill Country. Playing with my grandchild. Planning my next adventure.
